1. Bolków Castle

Nickname: The “Beaked” Fortress

Why: superb remnant of the mighty past overlooking the old town of Bolków. With its ancient walls and impressive castle tower, Bolków Castle is one of the biggest fortresses in Silesia.

2. Chojnik Castle

Nickname: The Stone Defender

Why: perfect destination for hikers and cyclists, Chojnik is one of the most picturesque castles in Lower Silesia. Its name is surrounded by legends, its walls keep the centuries-old secrets. Also, it offers amazing panoramas of the surrounding Karkonosze National Park.

3. Czocha Castle

Why: Czocha Castle is a reflection of the turbulent history of Lower Silesia. Once a glorious medieval fortress built in 13th century, it was constantly remodeled and changed its proprietors. After the Second World War the Castle disappeared from the maps as a classified object of the Polish military. Today it restored its historic glory and serves as a top-notch hotel.
