Iconic Vienna State Opera

Right next to Hofburg is the iconic Vienna Ring  a street encircling the Old Town. Many must-sees are situated here. You can either walk around (which is doable but time-consuming) or you can take a tram going from one attraction to the other

There are two ways to see the Ring on a transport:

  • a Ring Tram – touristic tram making a full circle around the boulevard and including the excursion

It is a great way to see all the major sights, however, you should buy a 9 EUR ticket to get in

  • Trams 1 and 2 go pretty much the same way around the Ring and the price is included in the 24-hour ticket
